Kira Kirscht – Dated: November 2010 to April 2011: Thank you for the special and great time and for being
my friend. I am so happy I found you and this amazing team. I will really miss these
hard and tiring sessions. Darren , Please keep doing martial arts and being an instructor – it seems
to be your destiny! :o) Thank you for teaching me, I learned so much. Now
I must go back home to Germany and hope to see you again soon.

Baily –
Dated: 15th April 2011: Sensei Darren’s knowledge, enthusiasm and energy is inspiring.
Our kids thoroughly enjoy the lessons, whilst learning some very important and fundamental life skills. The children would
go every day if they could!
Derek Bevan – Dated: 15th April 2011: My son has enjoyed
every minute of his time at Kick fit. His fitness has greatly improved and he looks forward to each session. Darren is a very
knowledgeable and skilled teacher who is respected by all in his school.
Agnieszka Klimowicz - Dated:
01st Mar 2011: Fusion turned out to be extremely successful for my teenage daughter. Not only did the sessions help her
in getting fit but also built her character strength. When we were recently moving houses for the second time in a year, and
she was helping me with carrying various items, i asked if she was tired yet. "Good fighter is never tired"
- she replied. Thank you Darren ;o)
Sean Kehoe - Dated: 15th Feb 2011: Fusion is a
great place to get fit whilst learning martial arts. Sensei Darren is an excellent coach who makes sure you work hard but
also takes the time to ensure you get the right tuition in terms of technique etc! I would recommend fusion to anyone!
Charlotte Hampson - Dated: 09th Feb 2011: Fusion has given my Son a real focus. This is a discipline
that provides self-belief, endurance and respect. Importantly Sensei Darren makes the classes fun which is great for kids!
Kurt Walker - Dated: 11th Jan 2011: Feel good, a little sore in the legs though but otherwise
brilliant! I really enjoyed Monday’s class and I felt welcome so I will definitely be back Thursday.
Kelian Guy Hodge - Dated: 5th Jan 2011: Great teacher, great team of people! Lost 21lbs of weight
and counting, managed to stop smoking and fitness and my health has improved 100%. Always wanted to do something like
this and at 30 thought maybe it was too late. RUBBISH best thing i ever did.
Dan Derham - Dated:
3rd Oct 2010: Fusion is not for the faint hearted. It's a tough institute that demands every ounce of energy
your body has to give & sometimes more. If you’re looking for a class where you can race through your belts as quickly
as possible then this isn't it. However I'll tell you what it is. Its great fun & highly addictive! It's a
relaxed atmosphere & although it's a serious class no one takes themselves too seriously. Whether you're a beginner
wanting to try something new, whether you're bored of the gym & looking for an alternative fitness workout, or you
would like to learn self-defence or you’re experienced in martial arts, Fusion is what I would regard as the perfect
institute. There are students who just see it as a weight loss/keep fit class where they are encouraged to give more than
their last class, there are beginners who want to learn something new & those who want to enter competitions. Whatever
you motivation (within reason) Fusions doors are open to all. But be prepared to give 110% & come out covered in sweat
& buzzing on a high too! It's a respectful class where control & technique is key. All students respect each other,
the Sensei & the venue.
Joe Bufton - Dated: 7th Sep 2010: Fusion, where to begin? Well, i
guess the beginning is as good a place as any. I'd wanted to learn a martial art for a long time but had never quite managed
to pluck up the courage to do so. As I’m sure you’ll agree, its quite a daunting thing to walk through the doors
of a place specifically designed to produce individuals who want to step into a ring. Then one day, when entering the gym,
i saw a poster for a new martial arts and fitness class under the name Fusion. I thought to myself, if I don't do this
now (I’m not getting any younger) I’m probably not going to do it at all. All i can say now is that I wish I’d
managed to get my act together sooner. I can remember my first session pretty clearly. More to the point, I can remember extremely
clearly how much it hurt in the few days after. I'd thought i was reasonably fit, turns out I wasn't. There's
no getting round it in this respect, Fusion is very hard. But if martial arts weren't hard, we'd all be Ninjas and
Nin! Just wouldn't be as cool. A martial art is supposed to be tough and Fusion really is. It’s a shock to the system
at first but once your body adjusts, well, I’m at every class without fail and wish there were more. The combination
of high intensity fitness and the learning and developing of new techniques is a genuine addiction. And at the hub of this
unexpected obsession is Sensei Darren Stevens. He's a man who obviously cares deeply about his art and in turn cares deeply
for those who are taking their first steps on what is obviously a long and difficult road. He’s an excellent, patient
teacher who makes you feel at ease in what could be a very intimidating environment and is genuinely interested in your personal
development. Sensei, see you on the run.
Andy Smith - Dated: 2nd Sep 2010: Fusion is VERY
addictive. I initially joined to do 1 session a week to improve my general fitness. I soon realised how enjoyable both the
fitness and technical sessions are that I know do 3 times a week (and more if I possible!). With a great
fitness ethic, welcoming and friendly atmosphere Fusion is ideal for anyone that wishes to better themselves.
Nicole Hales - Dated: 20th April 2010: I was apprehensive about starting fusion as I knew my fitness
levels were much to be desired! After going for the first time I was impressed with how Darren taught the class and his supportive
attitude towards everyone. The class is not only great fitness but it has a friendly atmosphere which kept me coming
back!
Matthew Watson-Gunn - Dated: 28th March 2010: Fusion hurts, in fact it hurts allot! But
it’s defiantly worth it! Since going to Fusion my fitness has drastically improved and I always feel great after each
and every class. Darren is an excellent instructor both in general fitness and Martial Arts and knows how to push people to
achieve. If you want to get fit, learn self-defence and don’t mind a bit of hard work Fusion is defiantly the way to
go!
Mark Sequeira - Dated: 2nd March
2010: I have
known Sensei Darren Stevens for over twelve years and have trained under his tutelage and guidance for ten of those years.
It was Darren that first motivated me to try martial arts at the Nemesis club where he was instructing. At first I was
reluctant as I envisaged the class to be full of testosterone filled hard nuts but that couldn't be further from the truth.
I found a supportive, close knit club where everyone was welcomed and could develop to their pace but never left to slacken!
Darren helped me to use martial arts to improve my fitness, to learn new skills and most importantly build upon my self-confidence.
The training pushed me to new limits, where I would normally give up I would push on, when before I would think I can't
do that, I would give it a go. I would like to thank Sensei Darren for all his support, guidance and friendship.
